Fred Boucher - creator and director of the Usimages biennial event
"Re-enchanting the relationship between photographers and business".
Fred Boucher was born in 1963. He graduated from the National School of Photography in Arles in 1986. He is an associate artist in photography at the Unité de Formation et de Recherche sur les Arts in Amiens.
In 1991, he founded DIAPHANE, the photographic hub for the Hauts de France region. Its aim is to develop a policy of promoting photography in the region through exhibitions, residencies and publications. Through his various responsibilities, since he also heads the "Les Photaumnales" Festival in Beauvais, he leads an approach to image education through photography.
In 2015, he created the USIMAGES biennial in Creil, dedicated to industrial photography. This is the fourth edition of USIMAGES. It's a biennial of industrial heritage photography organized by the Creil Sud Oise agglomeration and programmed and implemented by Diaphane. It's a free, open-air festival running until June 20.
