THE UPP PROGRAM:

The UPP will also be present at four conferences:

Thursday October 05 - 11:30 - 12:30:
Education à l'Image in partnership with the FFPMI (Fédération Française de la Photographie et des métiers de l'Image)

The desired scope of image education needs to be far more ambitious than what exists today. The UPP recommends that image awareness and education be integrated into artistic and cultural education courses from elementary school through to high school. All schoolchildren should be made aware of images, how they are created and how they are used (rights, restrictions, prohibitions, etc.).
The ambition is that this awareness should also extend to the general public.

Speaker : Matthieu Baudeau, photographer and president of the Union des Photographes Professionnels and Thibault Chappe, vice-president of the FFPMI.

Thursday October 05 - 13h30 - 14h30
:
IA : Etat des lieux

Generative artificial intelligence systems have not waited for a legal framework to invest the field of artistic creation. Their explosive growth has created a rapidly developing economic market. However, the legal and ethical questions raised by the sustained use of generative AI remain unanswered, and have barely been formulated.

Stéphanie de Roquefeuil will present the challenges of generative AI in photography: how to take advantage of the opportunities it offers, while setting the necessary limits on its use? Is it possible to reconcile creativity, ethics, copyright and technology?

Speaker: Stéphanie de Roquefeuil, Director of Public and Legal Affairs, Union des Photographes Professionnels

Friday, October 06 - 2:30pm - 3:30pm:
10 tips for beginner photographers.

Are you starting out as a photographer? Do you have a lot of questions? Commissions, selling work, press, status, taxation, accounting...?
UPP will answer all your questions.

Speaker : Nedim Imre, photographer and Secretary General of the Union des Photographes Professionnels

Saturday 07 October - 14h30 - 15h30 :

The right price for a photo.

"What determines the price of a photo? Quality? Its subject? The talent of the person selling it, or the desire of the person buying it?
Sandra Chenu Godefroy will show you what constitutes the price and value of a photo, with a 360-degree view from the production cost to the author's note."

Speaker: Sandra Chenu Godefroy, photographer and Lilia El Golli, photographer
