Sandra Chenu Godefroy:

I'm originally from Grenoble, where I grew up lulled by the ballet of the Lark III mountain rescue. I left the Alps at the age of 18 to study photography in Paris. A few years later, I joined the Gendarmerie as a military photographer. It was an opportunity to see a lot of the country, meet a lot of people... and to realize that the uniform wouldn't give me what I wanted: the freedom to make my own choices and take responsibility for my own vision.

Having left the ranks in 2009, I set up as a professional photographer... And I chose an "action" speciality involving photo reports in technically and physically demanding conditions, from the glaciers of Svalbard to firefighters battling forest fires. A challenge, but not the only one.

Today, at the age of 35, I continue to follow this path. Action reporting, not just as a job, but as a way of life. A way of discovering the world, meeting men and women, and recounting my experiences in pictures...

Pierre Mérat :

A self-taught photographer who turned professional in 1988, I have traveled extensively in France and around the world, starting with the art market and its procession of photos of paintings, sculptures, furniture, jewelry and all kinds of objets d'art.

Later, to get away from the Paris region, I moved to Sancerre and, at the same time, wine bottles and vineyard landscapes took the place of objets d'art. In almost 15 years of practice, I consider myself to have become a specialist in the genre.

At the same time, the taste for auteur photography, which has driven my admiration for the great photographers since my early days, has never left me. Whether in France or abroad, I've always taken with me my questioning of the way I look at the world. Reportage, street photography, portraiture, studio, outdoor... I'm interested in everything!
