How to set up a micro-business

You want to start your own business as a professional photographer, and you've opted for the micro-company option? You'll be an artisan photographer and won't have to declare your professional expenses.
Here's a quick summary of the procedure.
1. Declare your activity
If you are not yet registered as a sole trader, you can register your business with the Guichet unique, The Guichet Unique is responsible for transmitting your file to the various partner organizations (Urssaf, DGFIP, Insee, Registrar's Office, Chamber of Trades and Crafts, health insurance, etc.).).

As soon as you have completed the Guichet unique declaration form, you can apply to Urssaf forAcre, if you meet the conditions.

2. Create your Urssaf space
As soon as you receive notification of your affiliation, you can use the Urssaf online account andmobile application to :
- declare sales and pay contributions online
- consult deadlines for filing returns
- consult your account status online (archived declarations, account balance, payments made, etc.)
- access your mailbox to communicate with your Urssaf office
- download or print certificates (affiliation, vigilance, sales, etc.).

3. Siret number
It is sent within 15 days on average, after the business has been declared to the Guichet unique.
The Siret is made up of 14 digits:
- The first 9 digits correspond to the Siren number (company directory identification system): they identify the company as an entity.
- the last 5 digits correspond to the Nic (internal classification number), identifying each of the company's establishments

4. Notification of affiliation as a self-employed worker
This is sent to you by Urssaf within 4 to 10 weeks.
Therefore :
- You must pay your social security contributions
- You open up social rights: health insurance, pension insurance, family allowances, etc.uring the first few months of setting up your business

5. Official start of business
As soon as you have received your Siret number, you can start issuing invoices.
After the first 90 days of business, the first period (monthly or quarterly) begins, at the end of which you must :- - declare your sales (even if zero)
- - pay contributions calculated on sales
