Pierre's vision is shared all week long:
For his first carte blanche, he presents the Divergence-Images Association, which promotes the work of almost 150 independent photographers. Pierre is one of them. Divergence has just celebrated its 20th anniversary, with the publication of a collective work on French youth and an exhibition as part of the Month of Photography in Bordeaux. Find out more about the history of this organization, which aims to promote the work of independent photographers.

For his second carte blanche, he talks about SAIF, the collective management organization for which he was appointed president. Today, they represent over 8500 artists, including 5600 photographers. Subscribing to an OGC means receiving collective rights, but not only that: the SAIF also works to defend authors' rights and ensure a better sharing of value between broadcasters and authors. For his third carte blanche, he looks back over his 50-year career. He tells us how photography came to him. Thanks to his first publications, Pierre obtained the "sesame of the profession": a press card. For a decade, he collaborated with the AFP office in Marseille as a regular freelancer, before joining the editorial staff of Viva / magazine. Today, Pierre's photographs are distributed by Divergence-Images.

For his fourth carte blanche, he looks back on three events he covered, reflecting on the importance of photography. What can photographs taken forty years ago tell us? What resonance do they have in our contemporary society? Pierre has selected three events that have a particularly strong echo today, and accompanies them with an enlightening account of the practice of his profession.

For his fifth and final carte blanche, he turns the spotlight on two particular favorites. The first is the intimate Printemps Photographique de Pomerol festival, and the second is the Maison des Photographes (UPP) gallery. The latter has just opened a new exhibition featuring the work of Mélanie-Jane Frey.
Both the festival and the UPP gallery receive financial support from Saif through the copie privée program.
